Development of tudifyOS began in July 2017 as an experimental open-source desktop operating system built for x86 hardware. The goal was simple: create a flexible operating environment completely controlled by tudify.
By August 2017, the initial foundations of the platform had been established. Although relatively unknown, tudifyOS continued development internally and gradually expanded beyond its original desktop ambitions.
After years of experimentation, tudifyOS transitioned from its original x86 desktop focus into a dedicated ARM-based mobile operating system. This marked the beginning of the modern tudifyOS platform.
Today, tudifyOS powers every tudify phone beginning with the original P1 series. Version 3.0 introduced new hardware requirements and currently supports devices newer than the Phone 4 series.
tudifyOS runs using the custom TERMITE kernel developed specifically for tudify hardware and software integration.
The platform incorporates numerous open-source technologies and dependencies including GRUB, GNU components and internal software projects.
The operating system includes SimpleWeb, tudify’s in-house browser platform used throughout the OS ecosystem.
Besides official hardware, tudifyOS can run on many Samsung Galaxy devices using Download Mode installation procedures.
